The Bass Spot was born of out of a desire to bring exposure to talented “small batch” bass builders from around the world and help these luthiers showcase their talents through education and promotion.  

The journey began in 2018 with the simple mission to find a 6 string “Jazz Bass” on steroids.  We were thankful that in this age of instant access to information from around the world, we had access to builders not only from the USA…. but from EVERYWHERE.  Our search brought us to Maruszczyk Instruments, the most customizable instruments available anywhere. Adrian Maruszczyk and his team built a fantastic, completely customized 6-string bass that not only played, looked and sounded exactly it was envisioned…. it was very affordable. Adrian’s impressive build prompted us to form a partnership with him to bring his exemplary basses to the USA so more people could have access to them. Many years and several hundred instruments later, the groundwork was laid for expansion to other brands of basses, amplifiers, pedals, cases, strings, accessories, and anything else a bass player needs!  

The Bass Spot now represents many talented luthiers from around the world including exclusive representation for amplifier lines, electronics, and strings and accessories companies.  

We plan to continue to build and refine our relationships with talented artisans from around the world and provide customers with access to time musical tools they would otherwise not have access to.
